Dualist’s creators imagined a world where skincare is revolutionary, effective, clean, and uncompromisingly gentle, providing the user with a premium experience. The result is a pioneering hybrid oil-serum that redefines potent minimalism in skincare.

The Brief

The client requested a visual identity that captures the delicate equilibrium of power, finesse, and untethered sophistication that defines Dualist’s target audience. The Dualist branding had to cater to a niche audience through packaging that subtly showcases the product’s excellence and conjures an aura of affluence.

Dualist is conceived for those who desire a colorful, nourishing existence while staying rooted in their admiration for tradition and intellect – basking in the lavish world of structural artistry, sartorial elegance, and cutting-edge design but also craving the understated magnetism of slow, simple living. In short, the Dualist branding had to express the commitment to providing a skincare experience that reflects the refined bohemian spirit—beautiful, strong, and effortlessly tasteful.

The Branding & Packaging

Mariam was inspired by the name, concept, formula and customer persona to develop a minimalistic, sophisticated, timeless and deft visual language that meets the high-end market’s needs and expectations.

The symbol captures the essence of Dualist’s powerful moisturizing hybrid.

The symbol features two forces - the serum and the oil - intertwining and moving in different directions. This visually represents the harmony, absorption, and balance that Dualist offers while attesting to the company’s devotion to crafting high-end user experiences.

As for the packaging, Mariam designed a sophisticated box with embossed details. The packaging showcases the symbol prominently, highlighting the brand’s identity and reinforcing the sense of luxury and refinement associated with Dualist’s product.

To further enhance Dualist’s visual identity, Mariam developed a color palette that embodies efficiency, competence, and luxury. The palette consists of five primary colors - violet, lilac, purple, black, and beige, thoughtfully chosen to reflect the brand’s royal influences and can be used across various brand collateral, social media, and packaging materials.
